Fourth and fifth grade students at Sanville Elementary School participated in virtual songwriting workshops with Natalia Zukerman and Paul Reisler of Kid Pan Alley in October. Each class collaborated to write its own song, coming up with the lyrics and melodies. Today, students showcased their creations through a virtual concert. Song titles included, “I should have gone to bed at 10:30” and “Angels all around you.”
This program is part of Piedmont Arts' educational outreach and was funded, in part, through grants received from Virginia Commission for the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
