Summer Art Camp for students who are currently in grades 3-5 will take place from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m., June 15-19, at Piedmont Arts.
Summer Art Camp will focus on art history and appreciation. Campers will be introduced to artists such as Jasper Johns, Piet Mondrian, George Seurat, Marc Chagall, Faith Ringgold, Georgia O'Keeffe, and James Rizzi. Age-appropriate activities will incorporate these artists' styles and techniques, including pointillism, mosaics, landscapes, cityscapes, neo-dada, and pop art.
Summer Art Camp is led by instructor Juandalynn Jones-Hunt, the art educator for Henry County Public Schools.
Tickets are $80 for members and $90 for nonmembers. Advanced registration is required. Ticket sales end at noon on the Friday before the class begins.
