Bus to Broadway Heads to DPAC for 'Hamilton'

Bus to Broadway: Hamilton is sold out. To be added to the wait list, email sshort@piedmontarts.org.

Piedmont Arts' Bus to Broadway will take guests to see the blockbuster musical Hamilton at Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) in Durham, North Carolina on Thursday, June 2.

Hamilton is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

With book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. It has won Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

The Bus to Broadway provides transport to and from the venue. Bus departs Piedmont Arts at 5 pm for a 7:30 pm performance. Guests may bring food and beverages to enjoy on the bus. Boxed dinners are also available for purchase for $10 each. Boxed dinners must be purchased in advance.

Tickets to Bus to Broadway: Hamilton are $155 per person and are on sale now at Piedmont Arts or online here.
