Piedmont Arts

About

Bringing visual arts, performing arts and arts education to Martinsville-Henry County for over 50 years

Founded 1961

Located in the heart of Martinsville’s Arts & Cultural District, Piedmont Arts is an award-winning art museum that curates thought-provoking exhibitions by international, national and regional artists.

The museum also offers performing arts—from concerts to plays to children's performances—and a full schedule of art classes for all ages.

Piedmont Arts’ presence extends far beyond the museum’s walls. Guests can experience the arts around town thanks to the museum’s public art walking tour, which features six murals around Uptown Martinsville and five sculptures on the museum grounds and in the new Gravely-Lester Art Garden, located up the street from the museum.

Piedmont Arts is admission free and open the public Tuesday through Friday from 10 am – 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm. The Gravely-Lester Art Garden is open daily from dawn to dusk.
